Robert S. Graebe, MD FACOG joined New Braunfels OB GYN in 2020. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He practiced for 6 years in Northern New Jersey before moving to the New Braunfels area. While in New Jersey, he worked closely with specialist in the fields of Urogynecology, Gynecologic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Graebe continues to perform gynecologic procedures utilizing traditional laparoscopic and robotic surgery for minimally invasive approach to treat fibroids, abnormal bleeding, ovarian cysts and pelvic pain. In addition, Dr. Graebe provides care of women for normal and high risk pregnancies. In the office he sees patients for routine well women visits and managing abnormal bleeding, pain associated with menstrual cycle or intercourse, postmenopausal symptoms and/or hormonal issues. He trained to perform office procedures such as; subcutaneous contraceptive implant (Nexplanon) and intrauterine device (Kyleena/Mirena) placement and removal as well as other forms of contraceptive options.
Dr. Graebe obtained his Bachelors Degree in Economics at Fordham University, Bronx, New York. While there he played 4 years of Division 1-AA football, a 2002 Patriot League champion and participated in the NCAA playoffs. After undergrad he began course work for Pre-med and worked as an emergency room technician. Dr. Graebe completed medical school at Ross University School of Medicine. He completed residency in OB/GYN at St. Peter’s University Hospital/Drexel University School of Medicine in New Brunswick, NJ (now Rutgers/Robert Wood Johnson). During residency, Dr. Graebe was named Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology by AAGL and completed 3rd year rotation called the Galloway Fellowship (now called the Gynecological Brunschwig Rotating Residency) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, New York.
Prior to leaving New Jersey he was Associate Director of the OBGYN Department and Chairman of the Perinatal Committee, working on numerous committees to decrease cesarean section rates and improve overall outcomes for mom and baby. He continues this commitment to patient safety and stewardship of Women’s care, elected the Maternal Medical Director at Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas. He also serves as the Vice Chair Women’s Services and a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Resolute.
Dr. Graebe’s wife, Kerry Graebe MD, is a native Texan. They are eager to be a part of the New Braunfels community and raise their four children; Sydney, Oliver, Finnegan and Eleanor. In their spare time they spend time with their children enjoying water activities, exercising, skiing, fishing and time with friends.
